CDex 1.51 problem

    Hi,
    i have the above version of CDex installed in win XP.
    The problem is that i can't make it to identify my DVD
    player and my cd recorder\player.
    Is tere someone can help me?

    Note that few monthes ago it was working.

    try uninstalling then re-installing.

    if that doesn't work, switch to EAC (exact audio copy). It is the best ripper out there, period. And the user interface is almost the same as CDex. You can find the guide for EAC in my sig below...

    Hi jimraft,
    From within CDex, go Options > Settings > CD Drive and your CD drive(s) should be listed in the dropdown window.
    If Windows 'identifies' them, they will be in the list. That's it.
    CD-Rom Drive Type is always 'generic', and the Auto-Detect will not detect your drive further.
    This feature is a legacy from the 90's when specific devices used proprietary features, and was included for compatibility - but it is not useful these days.
