Re-encode it to 720x480 mpeg-2, then author it. The quality is going to suck. You can, with the right software, author the mpeg-1 directly to dvd.
What if i burn the movie as is? I used dvd author to make it in dvd format. then i could just shrink if i ahve to, with dvd shrink. is that quality good. mpeg1 352 x 240. which software would recode it. thanks
I use Tmpgenc x-press 3.0. It handles just about every format and can kick out really nice Mpeg2. I've converted mpeg1 to mpeg2 that actually looked far better than what I started with after filtering and color-correcting with Tmpgenc. Won't ever pass for full DVD quality though.
