Error message totally green and newbie

    Hi
    Getting message when trying to burn from my allocated file to DVD BURNER using Nero "the following files may not reside in the Video_TS directory of a DVD-video compilation,

    Allowed files are Video_TS.INFO Video_TS.VOB Video_TS.BUP ,etc

    Anyone help

    Welcome to the forum. If you are trying to burn a movie Nero will only recog. those types of files. What are the extensions of the files in the folder you are trying to do?

    For Shrink or Nero or any other DVD burning program to burn(file mode) they need these types of files: .vob, .bup and .ifo. You have mpeg so that needs to be converted to mpeg-2 DVD Compliant files and then you can burn w/ Shrink or Nero. Which mpeg do you have 1 or 2 ?

    Everythings going great managed to convert and drag to the vs file but now when I go to burn a save image as box comes up and I cant get rid of it any ideas

    Make a folder on desktop and save the image there. Then when you do not want it anymore then delete the folder

    Hi Mike
    Im not really thick just a bit stupid Ive done as you said and it goes through the burn process but my burner isnt reacting ive gone to the folder on my desk top and the image is there but not on my disc am I doing something wrong

    Did you save the image or the files as they both are different

    I saved the image in my desk top folder does that make a difference

    If you have the image file on the desktop folder you can use either DVDDecrypter or Imgburn in iso write mode to burn the image to HD. Is the Image file smaller than a DVD-5

    Ok Mike Ive used DVD Dycrypter and written in ISO mode to my DVD Writer and Presto now got a fully working DVD disk I think Ive got a problem with my Nero its saying I can only write with the image recorder I cant pick my DVD writer its telling me I can only use the recorder that Nero has been bundled with will I have to reload Nero or is there another way around it

    Try to re-install Nero but make sure you write down the Serial Number to activate it
