This is driving me bannanas. Okay picture this. I have two computer network together through a router. They share the same ip addy. The older 800 in my sig is hosting a foum. http://72.28.42.0/forum/ Thats the url. Now me as admin I can log in on the host computer, but not with the secondary computer my 3700/ When attempting to login it says cant find page, but I dont have the problem on the 800. Im wondering if its a port issue although I opened up all ports in the router for the xampp server. Please help.....If you dont know try out the url and let me know if you can register and post. I could always delete posts later...but for now I need some to test it.
SOLVED...the issue has been solved. I didnt have the cookies set up right. I ran the cookie mod available to reset the cookies and all good now. But please go there and try it....tell me the connetion speed and so on. If you wondering its going to be a site for disabled adults to come together and chat....also to help disabled adults find love. So let me know what you think.... Im mostly worried bout connection speed, but Im on a 5 meg cap line...so it should be alright.
Could you tell me what program your using or how your hosting that from your ip? Thats pretty cool having your own forums, and your not paying for it?
Well A my ip doesnt know yet nor am I going to tell them. Two google for xampp and phpbb forums. This are the two that Im using... xampp is free compilation and so is phpbb. Its not to hard to set up either. Just some stupid mistakes on my own with the cookies..LOL!
