For some reason, files are randomly compressing on my pc. It happens in the windows folders, program folders, my documents, etc. I will uncompress them then a few days later they will be compressed again. I have 37gb free space so that can't be it. Anyone have any ideas?

Here goes lol, try doing the following, go into my computer go to the drive, right click on the drive, go to properties and there should be a tick box compress drive to save space, if clicked unclick. Tell me how it goes.

    Regards

Ya it's not. I have tried ticking then unticking just so it runs through and uncompresses everything. Still I'll get compressed files later.

Have you got a program that automatically compresses files? Some system optimiser programs may do this. If you have any "PC optimiser" programs, uninstall them, they're usually far from beneficial.
