    Hello,

I am wondering if anyone has had problem with stratched dvds in there burner that won't read or play. What I am trying to do is back up a few dvds that have a decent amount of stratches on the surface. is there a solution that you apply to the dvd to remove the stratches so i could get them to back up. I have heard people saying turtle wax or brasso then they buff out the disk. any help would be appreaciated thank you

You can buy a DVD polisher kit for around $10.00 from places online. Or you can most likely buy a kit from some of the places that sell DVD's, etc. I bought a used polisher from a movie rental place that went out of business and it cost me around $30.00 Just put the DVD in and it buffs it like new. It will take out some fairly big scratches but nothing real bad.
