hi, i bought a sata controller card for my msi kt4 ultra board a year or so ago, but i dont think my motherboard likes it- explorer has always locked up every so often since i added it, and i always have to end explorer.exe and restart it, very annoying. i think id be better off getting a motherboard with built in sata support- but im cool with the athlon 2 gig processor ive got, so i only need a good old socket a motherboard, not the newer stuff out- im thinking between biostar or msi- any of you guys have some advice? thanks in advance,
    josh

Hmm, only for UK peeps like me though, and stock doesn't look promising. Only one of the new batch unsold, and a week until that batch arrives. It's a good board though and astoundingly cheap. It's also very similar to my board bar the chipset. (6775, although this is a KT600 VIA to my knowledge).

For US folks this is a good bet:

Nice good brand name and performance chipset. At $64 it's also quite cheap (although admittedly not as cheap as the UK model)
