How do you turn it off and on, and know that it is off or on. Thanks fellows I'm trying to learn.

At the lower right, in your system tray, find the AnyDVD fox icon. Right click it and then click to Uncheck "Enable AnyDVD". The icon will turn grey, indicating it is disabled.

Glad to have helped! You are not a bonehead, lol, AnyDVD kinda hides out after the initial installation.

I don't think that will cause you any problems. I'd just use one or the other though. You can usually just open the DVD in Shrink. AnyDVD will cause Shrink to see the movie as "Unencrypted".

    Cheers,
    Frank

fasfrank - Okay I've used DVD SHRINK and DVD DECRYPTER & DVD DECRTYPTER/FAB and have no problems with most dvd's my question perhaps out of place here is - ANYDVD if you have it & the above mentioned programs Why would I need Clone DVD ? I ask becuase ANYDVD & CLONE DVD are often spoken of together What does clone do that ANYDVD does'nt if it's just burning I have burning programs to handle that ! Why do I need both ?

You don't need both, you can just use AnyDVD with the programs you have. However for reauthoring CloneDVD is much better than Shrink you can keep movie only and also your menu, or split TV series and have functional menu on both disks. That is the difference.

Let me tell you why anydvd+clonedvd2 is a good pair.
    (1) Clonedvd2 is a very fast trancoder and with anydvd working on the background it can copy almost 99.9999% of any dvd.
    (2) Clonedvd2 can maintain or keep the main menu together with the main movie or epic tv serials.
    (3) With its friendly interface, it is very easy to use esp when you are a beginner and dvd decry is more complex and not so friendly as clonedvd2. Shrink is good when comes to merging dvds together. But it does not keep the menu. All you can do is to create a still image that it. As for DVD DECRTYPTER/FAB it only rip the movie to your harddisk you cannot use it to burn into a dvd. You have to use a burning software like nero to do the burning for you.
As for speed wise, clonedvd2 is definitely faster than shrink and dvd decryter. The final output quality is almost the same for the three programmes.

@Arniebear, that cleared up a question I had about keeping the menu with movie only. I will spring (buy) for another Slysoft product.
