life span of a burned DVD and CD

    now there the so called expect are saying burned DVD abd CD will last about 2 to 5 year, a far cay from what a lot of them where saying a while ago

    there seem to be a lot of confused now day over life spam of a burned DVD cd some say it will last only from 2 to 5 year now Kim Komando a so called compter e xpect is tell e very on to re burn all dvd and cd each year ,"The only problem is that they can go bad. I'd burn duplicates, and replace them every year or so. " so what is the life spam of a dvd, if it only 5 years or less what the point of burning vct tape to dvd ?????? hmmmmmmmmmmm


    so what the fact ?

    DVDs will last a lifetime as long as you take all proper procedures.

    high quality media like taiyo yuden is said to last 100 years. low quality media like memorex will only last for a few months to a few years so if you have cheap dvd's you might want to back them up. store bought movies can last much longer like halen said as long as you take care of them.
