Does anyone know or have a tried a PD 805 in a sli motherboard and if it rus in dual core mode and not single core mode like the 830/930??
Up till now, Intel chipsets supported ATi CrossFire; chipsets for AMD Socket939 supported nVidia SLI. Now nVidia is getting into Socket775 - and ATi is taking on S939 :^) I have noticed that Pentium dual-core support can be 'iffy' with nVidia chipsets. Intel chipsets are a sure thing (but no SLI...) Kinda tough to 'get it all' eh 444? You probably don't want a D-805; it is little better than Celeron-type performance, 133MHz x 20 = 2.6GHz. The 133(533QDR) FSB is a step backward - choose a D-820 (or D-920) for modern dual-core performance on 800FSB that is still affordable. They cost less than Athlon x2 (but slower, too). Regards
