Hi everyone. Nero (version:6.0.0.9)was working fine until one day I decided to install Nero 7 Ultra Edition. I had a problem with Nero 7 and decided to uninstall it. When I installed the Nero I used before I got this problem: when I select an MP3 file to add it to the audio CD or MP3 disc project I want to burn and click on "add", I get the error: "some files could not be added because some file formats are not supported". I have tried reinstalling Nero: no go. I deleted the key from HKEY Local Machine>Software>Ahead and then installed it again: nothing. I even reinstalled the DVD drive's driver from device manager JUST IN CASE. The drive, I havent tested yet, has read media without a problem so I am not so sure the drive is involved in the problem. Anything I did wrong or anything I have missed? >=( Can somebody issue a solution, please. Thanks in advance. JC
There is a special utility that completely removes Nero. You might try that as this seems to have occured after updating to 7.
Try this and see how you go. Uninstall your current version of Nero7. Because you had Nero6 installed you will need to run this clean tool to remove all traces of Nero6. http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/en/Clean_Tools.html Then run this Nero7 clean tool, once again to remove all traces of Nero7 http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.html Now that ALL traces of Nero6 and Nero7 have been removed, install this version of Nero7. http://www.nero.com/nero7/enu/nero7-up.php Hopefully it will fix your problem, good luck.
Thanks Jigen. Very appreciated your suggestion Gwendolin! Thanks a lot you guys- I did as instructed and Nero is showing no problems anymore. I can now burn my reggaeton and hop around! Thanks a mil! JC (Panama, Central America) MSN: screwbaxster@
