This is a prob a lot of people who downloaded the game are having. There is some auto-lose protection thing, check up on other topics to find out more about it.

I have a bigger problem. Seems that tons upon tons of people are having the same problem. I bought the original game, since I heard it was so good, and installed it. I have the more than the minimum requirements on my laptop.

    2.0 GHz AMD Athlon processor
    1280 RAM
    GeForce4 440 Go
    Running XP service pack 2
    (all drivers updated to latest)

So that can't be the problem. Everything loads up good in the menu, then when I load a skirmish or a campaign, it loads to 97% and crashes. The program closes and takes me to the desktop, and says that there has been an "game.dat" error. Being trying to find a solution but no one has. Help!

Does that video card really meet the requirements? Believe me im definetely not bragging, but i have a GeForce6200 in mine and i can only play on mid settings usually, (although that could be a lack of RAM)
