Your TV can only handle it's native resolution, so whether it's a laptop or a vid card, composite or S-Video out is your only option.

    hi morph416,

i have been hunting for a video card that can do such a thing... pc on tv ... but don't know what feature i should be looking for.

do you suggest any specific card or can you give advice as to key phrases i should be searching for?

    thanx,

Almost all cards nowadays have S-Video out options. But, if it's composite output you want, the card will need to support VIVO (nVidia), or AVIVO (Ati).

Some TV tuner cards have composite outputs as well. ATI's All-In-One cards for example, I believe have it. (correct me if I am wrong here people)

All-in-wonder actually. TV will never deliver great quality unless its a decent HDTV, since the resolution just isn't great enough.
