I haven't played my gamecube in some time but the urge to play smash bros melee was too much today, when i booted up the system it would not recognize the memory card when it was inserted it said "the object inserted cannot be used" Any ideas why its saying this?
is it a 3rd pary one?(joyteck,nyko)those dont seem to work to good, but in my case my 64mb joytech works fine. try putting it in slot 2, maybee even clean your system/mc connectors.

its over a yr and a half old my sisters card works fine and we got the carda at the same time, unfortunately none of my saves have been backed up on her card eitha
it sounds like there has been some damage to it like a power surge or something. this tends to happen if it is left inserted to the GC when a surge happens. there is no way to fix it so you should buy a new one.
