blue screen

    hi all ,i tried changing my windows xp pro to xp home ,i did what i thought was right,but i get this message this application failed to start because BROWSEUI.dll was not found ,reinstalling the application may fix this problem ,
    the prob is i cant get the disk to run as i see nothing on the screen i can only get task manager help topics,and i dont know what to do ,any help appreciated

    Do you get the Blue screen after windows boots? Or does it not even get that far? Since you say you can get the Task Manager up, I'm assuming windows loads. If you can get into the task manager, then go to file--> New task (run). Run the XP home disk from there. By the way, why do you want to go from xp Pro to xp Home anyway? Sometimes errors happen when installing Windows. Try it again and see what happens. If worse comes to worse, you may have to reformat the HD.

    yes i get the Blue screen after windows boots , i just trie what u says ,another message comes up saying windows cannot find run make sure uyou typed the name properly, if worse comes to worse how do i do that ? thanks for reply
