ok, i have recently got the W900i, it was locked to vodafone but i got it unlocked to use my 3 sim card in it. it works fine, but the problem i have is that i can't access the 3 internet (same as vodafone live)! the menu still shows the vodafone live sites (games, music, sport, etc) but obviously i can't connect to them with my sim card! how do i change the setup to access the 3 sites? can i do it? or am i lumped with a swanky new handset without internet? i have managed to use my sim card in a number of different handsets, some from the 3 range, some from other ranges with no problem, but this one is causing me some bother! all help greatly appreciated cheers HMT
The reason you cannot access the 3 website is b'cos your phone is branded (to vodafone), to access 3 websites, you will need to de-brand your phone, usually, it will be a mail in service, the procedure to de-brand a w900i is quite complicated, from what i know, it will require to unassemble your phone, locate 2 different flash chips on the mother-board, using external softwares, read the codes, and generate a new code to directly flash onto the other chip, after that, reflash your phone.
