Hi there, I wanted to make copies of both star wars disk 2's. I copied both disk 1's with no problems but i can't get the second one to work. I'm using DVD43 as my decrypter and 1ClickDVD Copy to copy. I get an error message saying that a read error occurred and that it could not be decrypted and to restart the decrypter. I like the simplicity of using dvd43 and 1clickcopy but i do have various other programs on my computer including dvd decrypter, dvd shrink and dvd fab. Can anyone let me know if something worked better for them? any help is greatly appreciated. thank-you Chelsey
Chelsey_N , Welcome to the forum. If you are getting a read error try cleaning it real well. If you get it again then try DVDFAB Decrypter and rip to HD and then use Shrink. If that fails then it might be a bad mastering press and you need to exchange it.
Thanks for replying! i tried all you suggested and it actually let me do all the steps with dvd shrink but when i watched it in my dvd player it was a mess, it's like a whole bunch of movies where playing at the same time. I'm pretty sure it isn't a bad mastering press as both dvd's give me the same problem. chelsey
Chelsey_N, I remember reading people having problems w/ the 2nd disks on the Star Wars series. If you ripped it to HD using DVDFAB Decrypter can 1clickcopy burn the files from there as I have never used that proggy. Below is a guide you can look at . Substitute Shrink for Recode and you can try it that way. The reason you use VobBlanker is it can repair some of the structure errors as that might be the problem you are having. They are offering this month for the AfterDawn Members a $5.00 discount on it. Alot of people here swear by AnyDVD
