What do you mean a normal iPod? The only iPods that are capable of putting videos on are iPod Video and possibly an iPod nano if you know how to do it correctly. :)

    Hello & Welcome.

The Video iPod is the only iPod that reliably supports any video formats. There is a hack called iPodLinux, which has been able to allow very limited video playback on previous iPods. If you wish to persue this further, then I suggest you have a look at the following link.

    (iPod Linux Wikipedia Homepage)

Be advised though, iPodLinux can void any warranty you have on your iPod and is certainly not worth the risk of damaging a perfectly good iPod.
