Can anybody tell me the best way to play my itunes on my steroe, two rooms away, about 40 feet in distance? I have a PC with windows XP. I have heard of Apple Airport, but I hear that this has a lot of dropouts. Is there anything that has zero percent dropout? Thanks.

the airport express is the only idea I can think of at the moment. U may want to conside a portable speaker setup example: the iPod Hi-Fi, the iHome, Bose soundock.

Or, you can always buy an audio input cord to run from your iPod to the back of the stereo or buy a radio transmitter. ;-)

Thanks for replying. Playing from the Ipod is not a problem. With a simple cable, I can connect to virtually any stereo. I want to play music from my Itunes in order to take advantage of the crossfading feature. I am trying to make a CD that sounds like a mix. Regardless of how I set my Itunes to mix, the changes don't get burned onto a Cd. So I have to record it in real times. That's why I want to connect to my stereo, which is nowhere near my computer. Thanks.

eobass4, hello & welcome to the iPod and iTunes help forums.

to play your iTunes in other rooms is very easy, but most importantly -- you [bold]do not[/bold] need any of Apple's products to do so.

There are many better quality products out there that do a better job than the Apple Airport, and are not overpriced for the job they do.

I don't personally stream music around rooms, but, after spending a lot of money on a lot of disappointing Apple products in the past, I strongly recommend you assess your options before you even think about purchasing.

I have found this link, '[bold]What - Stream music to another room?[/bold]' which is a review of audio streaming products by CNET, who are a hugely respectable & reputable media source.

Just be careful before hastily purchasing from Apple.
