ok i'm not convinced this is my monitor dying, so i figured i'd seek out a little input. for a few weeks now my monitor will just go black then pop right back on. no warning or anything, doesn't seem to be associated with anything in particular either. there are no heat issues that i can find, or anything obvious. the drivers for my vid card are the most recent.

just for kicks i put a low end older system on my kvm switch and the monitor does not seem to do this while that system is viewed using the kvm, but it is at a lower resolution. not sure if thats relevant, but maybe.

    any ideas?
monitor is a 19" AOC CRT,
vid card is an nvidia geforce 5200 256DDR

Hey bud,why don't you try another video card just for $hits and giggles, cause thats where I think the problem may be.(either way its gonna cost you!

oh btw try it without the kvm and try a different monitor cable if you can. could be them damn snakes!

yeah i'm going to try a few things, it's more annoying than anything. the bad thing is i'm about to buy an acer F-20 Ferrari monitor and i dont want anything screwing it up, so i might be forced into buying a damn vid card as well. the wife will love that!
