Greetings I am having a bit of trouble with a couple dvd's I have burned lately, for some reason that I cannot figure out when I burned a couple movies (Barber Shop, Underworld) a couple others you can barely hear the audio even with it cranked up to 100% on my standalone, it plays just fine on my desktop and laptop. Anyone have any suggestions for this? I am using AVI Decompress 1.4, VSO 1.99 and Nero 6 Ultra to burn using Nero Express after VSO converts the files to DVD format. My burner is a NEC DVDRW ND3520A Any help, tips or ideas would be greatly appreciated!
anytime u download a video thats the chance ur taking. ive seen alot like that. im lucky i have a 500 watt surround system. the latest thing ive seen is u get to the end of the movie and it messes up. ur better off sticking with dvd rips u do ur self. by the way, u only need nero vision express 3 or 4 to do the samething. ur using 3 apps.
I have tried NVE 3 and everytime that I convert the avi to DVD format I get out of synch a/v. I posted that problem on the boards and using those programs are what was recommended. About the audio problem, since I really cant tell if the avi sound is that low with my standalone all I can do is convert/burn it and hope that it works ok. I mean if I crank up the volume to max I can hear it fine, unless people are talking real low in the movie. I have been trying to figure out how to either rip or clone dvd's for a while and haven't had any luck yet, what programs would you or anyone else recommend for doing this? I have plenty of DVD's to test it with. Thanks again.
http://www.divx-digest.com/software/bs_play.html That's a link to a freeware AVI player you can use to play the files on your PC before converting and burning. If the volume is low on the AVI player and you have to crank it up, then it will be the same when you convert it. A lot of AVI is poorly recorded versions of movies and often done with cameras in movie theatres when getting illegal movies before release. The only thing I mess with AVI for is old movies and clips that are free source and not available on DVD.
