Hi, I've been trying to install my DVD-RW and I have two open slots in my computer, for CD drives. So, a couple of months ago I had put a regular DVD-reader in the second slot, but a week ago I got a DVD-RW burner and am trying to install it in the primary slot, where Dell had put their cd drive, regular CD-RW. So, I figured no big deal rmoves the two wires from the dell drive and took it out and put in my nice new DVD-RW. So I as all pumpoed because this was the same day I got my new GFX card and now both were in, I was like NICE. Lo and behold I turn on my computer to find out the computer can't find EITHER DVD drives. Before it had found both now it can't find one. SO my brother suggested I put back in dells drive and it worked. So then I took out the reg DVD-R and put the DVD-RW in, but my question is how do I take out dells drive so I can put DVD's in both slot?

I wasn't sure where to put this, so I hope this is the right board, if not point me in the right way please. Feel free to help even if this is the wrong board :)

You may need to set the jumpers on the back of your drives. Set one as primary and the other as secondary or cable select.
