with the budget i have left i have broken my options between 2 graphics cards. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814130271 or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814142052 which do you think would be the better buy? p.s. im looking to play games like the new elder scrolls, half-life 2 + mods, battlefield 2 and thats about it.
While both cards appear to have similar specs and either card would do the job, I would choose the Geforce but then again I'm an Nvidia fan.
Go X800GTO, it's a very good GPU. This isn't an I prefer ATi rebuttal to boxwrench's claim, but I think it will serve you better in the gaming arena. The 6800GS is the budget card for the 6800 series which is equivalent to the X800GT. The X800GTO is a step above the GT and hence a step above the 6800GS.
