Problems with Team Speak

I play an online PC game called Americas Army : Operations (AA:O). And I use a communication program called Teamspeak to communicate with my buddies who play. It works fine as long as I am not running AA:O, but when I do open it my buddies can hardly hear me when I talk. There is alot of static sound blocking my voice. I've played around with microphone and volume settings and i can't figure out how to fix it. But I do know that it worked fine when I used my ps2 SOCCOM headset, which connects through the USB port. Any suggestions on why this problem may be occuring, or how to fix it?
