Can anybody tell me how to set it up so my CPU works on 2.17MHz (2700+). It's on 1500+ (1.3MHz), and no matter what I do, it only blocks so I have to reset CMOS. So, can please anybody help me out...
Athlon XP 2700+ uses a 13.0 multiplier x 166MHz system bus = 2.17GHz With memory running at 333. Make sure these settings are correct. Can't help any more as I have no idea how the bios is set out.
What did you do to make you have to reset? What have you tried already? I guess to be running at 1300MHz you have got the FSb set to 100, it needs to be 166. Enter your BIOS and go to the advanced menu, select jumperfree configuration and make sure the CPU frequency is set to 166. Hope this helps if you havent tried it already.
I think I know what the problem is. The CPU External Frequency is most probably jumper set on the motherboard on 100 (200MHz FSB). All I need to do is set it on 166 on CPU (333MHz FSB), and then it should be ok. It's not enough to just set it in BIOS, need to set it on the mobo jumper-wise as well. Thanks anyway guys...
