i installed a different HD with xp already installed and a new mobo and i cant open my primary slave drive which is my 300 gig it already had files saved on it, but everytime i try to open it, it says "hard drive isnt formatted, do you wish to format now?"
Hello 68b_body Have you installed the drivers for that drive? It maybe that windows won't recognise it because the drivers were not found. Have you checked the BIOS to make sure it is recognised? Make sure the disk does have xp on it, try it on another pc if you can.
