Hello, I have an AMD processor with 1.4 Ghz. I have 512 mb of Ram, and an 80 gb hd with a DVR-105 burner. I have been trying to copy PS2 games for quite some time now, using Nero. I have been using different types of media, such as Imation DVD-RWS, Memorex DVD-RS and Verbatim DVD-Rs. Whenever I try to burn a game- (mostly I have been trying to make a backup of a backup- being Devil May Cry 2), Nero will say that the burning has been successfull. However, whenever I try to boot them in my PS2, (with a Magic 2 chip), it will just show up with the browser screen with my memory card, without confirming that the disc is inside. I am pretty sure that the problem is not with the PS2, because I had been given PS2 backups from a friend of mine in the past and they have all worked fine. If anyone can provide any insite, I would be most greatful. Thanks

P.S- the DVR-105 has been working to burn CDs, so I know that the CD burning part of it is fine. I have also downloaded the latest drivers, so that is not a problem.

I'm not positive you will be able to get an RW to boot. I do know that Imation DVD-R's work just fine, and i've never had any lick with memorex, never tested verbatim. Make sure you are reading AND burning at the slowest possible speeds, and NOT copying "on the fly".

No you did not help. How could you believe "-" media is crap as you say? You have no idea what you are talking about. Both "-" & "+" work BUT "-" works on EVERY single PS2 made, yet "+" only works on newer ones. So if you want to get technical the "-" is a better buy because it will always work. Oh, and they are much cheaper than "+".

retslig :

If you do not plan to SERIOUSLY help here, do not post such unfounded, unproven comments.

Mrcapone :

Take a look at my full tutorial on the main PS2 page at the very top. It shows many different ways on how to correctly do what you ask.
