Hi there i recently bought a sony vaio laptop with a intel graphics media accelerator 900 with 128mb/mo max shared with main memory and i installed mgs2 and when i clicked run my screen goes black and i can hear the sound of the game but no video.I have direct x 9.0c installed but cant find update drivers for my card. Can anyone tell me where i can get an update or tell me the settings to get this to work? any help would be appreciated.
Not sure on settings, although with any integrated graphics, even though the 900 is one of Intels better ones, I would start with low detail on turn it up until you find the right point to stop. Updated drivers are here http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scr...XP+Home+Edition&lang=eng&strOSs=45&submit=Go! The 900 is part of the 915 chipset so that should work fine. Hope it helps.
Does the download install? I see you have started a new thread for it, thought I'd reply here though instead of keeping 2 threads going. Do you get an error on install? If not, when it has finished does the version show as the one ontheir site or an older one?
yes i need a 3d accelerator. It installs fine and when i click run it boots up and i cant see anything but i can hear sound perfectly and i can run games such as doom 3,house of the dead 3 and gta san andreas.
Well, I've done a bit of looking around and all I can actually see for that game is problems, unless you run it on an nVidia graphics card. Some possible solutions people talk about are lowering your colour depth of your desktop and the game to 16bit. Runing the game in windowed mode. Installing the ATI patch...even without an ATI card **I personally DON'T recommend taht one** i'd try the other 2 options, but if they don't work I'm at a loss, maybe someone else on here can offer advise if they have the game.
Nah I wouldn't mind betting numerous ATI cards will run that game without a hitch. Lots of games just don't support intel integrated graphics as they have practically no shader support. This may be one of them.
Matters not, all intel integrated graphics chips will kiss the bottom of the most cheapstard graphics card, they cost $7 to make for crying out loud!
