Yep im back from long ago.. and im haveing problems agian with my xbox -> pc connection. Pc config: IP add: 192.168.1.100 subnet: 255.255.255.0 gatway: 192.168.1.1 Xbox config: IP add: 192.168.1.101 subnet: 255.255.255.0 gatway: 192.168.1.100 (same as pc ip) *also note that i am useing a static ip I tryed like 20 different types of settings and read a few threds on here but no luck, if any one can figur out what im messing up with please post. I use to have it working, but i got a virus and redid my pc. I dont want to rush any one but i do need a respanse asap, or i might blow a gasket OH ya, also im useing a x-over cable (actully tryed 2 different ones) and i have 2 nics in my pc, im useing port 21 to connect, also tryed both nics and wont connect with either.. i had them bridged then removed it, going to try to bridge it agian.. ill brb...
what about DNS on both? they should be empty or 0.0.0.0 turn off firewalls and virus scan which will lock flashfxp
Yes, both DNS are at 0.0.0.0, and of what i read, the defult gateway on the xbox should be the same as my computer's ip. I put all my settings to what was recomened on another post, and a few people replyed that it worked. I dont have any fire walls installed, but i do have sp2 on this machine, but i had this working before with the same pc with sp2 before i redid it. If there is a way, how can i unfirewall a local port (either net port) that could be the cause of my problems. Thanks for the replys so far . OH ya, i did go crazy last night and i losted internet till about 3 pm toady..
OK first thing, try leaving default gateway for the pc empty. Then, make sure you have all other network connections opperating normally. I disabled my wireless connection when I first started modding, and I couldnt ftp. Go into Network Connections and make sure that none are disabled, and if that doesnt work, I cant help you much more. Good luck!
