First of all I would like to give my thanks to the developers who take the time to make these great tools for us in userland.
on to the problem.
I am running nero 5.5.10.20 on windows xp pro and have downloaded/installed the MPC audio plugin. My cd burner is a Smart and Friendly 12x cd-writer (on a SCSI2 interface).
When I try to write a cd using .mpc source files my computer becomes unusable due 100% (non-nice) processor usage and the input buffer status bar moves along at an unbearably slow pace.
I left the thing running for about 30 minutes and the buffer had not even reached 50% and no cd-writing had taken place.
I have no problems writing cds using .mp3 source files although I am not using the neroplugins.cd-rw.org LAME plugin.
Also, I should add that after I killed the process I noticed a MusePack directory containing mppdec.exe and mppenc.exe in the plugins directory.
I have successfully used mppdec.exe to manually decode the files I was trying to write in the first place to wav and then burn wav files to cd.
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this type of problem.
