Good news and bad.... First the good you can replace your burner with a Liteon drive considered to be 1 of the best for cheap money around 20-30 dollars us after rebates. They are currently sold under the Buslink label, as well as Cendyne Lightning the latter im not positive about if its a Liteon.....My burner supports Overburn as well as Mt. Raineer and I bought it for 30 bucks "sweet" The Bad= Your burner either needs to be sent back to the factory to be rebuilt ir chuck it into the trash....There is a way to get it to work for a while but its on the way out and you probably only have about 20 burns left even after the nero tweak I know TRUST ME I HAD THE SAME THING HAPPEN WITH A TDK! If your broke I can go over the tweaking procedure with you hopefully your using decent media CDR's I use TDK FUJI VERBATIM IMATION and thats it.
mauve928, Your Imation burner I believe is an "Phillips" based (chipset) cdrw. I would look for the latest firmware update and see if one is available. If so, flash your burner and try burning again. If you encounter the same problems consider a newer burner such as the Lite-On LTR 52x model m8. Shoey
