Both Nero and DVD Shrink are very good programs, it depends what you want to do.

If you're wanting to do DVD backups, you need software to bypass the copyright protection. The software in the DVD Shrink is obsolete due to loss of support. It will do older releases and possibly some of the new ones, but there's a bunch it can't do. DVDFab Decrypter is the best of the freeware rippers. The best however is AnyDVD. You can get a full function trial for the app at http://www.slysoft.com/ . The trial is good for about 3 weeks. After that, you can buy a key or go with the freeware.

yes clonedvd 2 and anydvd is your best bet ,its really all you need, use this guide to get started

remember to use good blank media (Taiyo Yuden and or Verbatim) and burn at 4x starting out

Do they really need a guide? I thought the controls were so easy all a person had to do was follow the few instructions on the Slysoft website. Like turn on AnyDVD and then open the DVD or hard drive folder and go to the next step till completed.

Are they including the instructions on how to turn on the PC and put the right discs in the burner drive? ;) Step 1, be sure the PC and other needed equipment, such as the PC monitor, are plugged into an electrical outlet with the correct power setting on the back of the PC selected. (Be sure there is power on the outlet, but absolutely do not test by sticking a "bobby" pin in the outlet.) Step 2 ...

I suspect one "Te He" would have been sufficient. ;)

DVDFab Decrypter, DVD Shrink, and DVD Decrypter are all very good programs to use with each other. They can work as the ripper, the compressor, and the burner respectively. Best of all, they're all FREE!!

The door won't open on my new Plex PX-716AL. Can you tell me what's wrong? ;) I've pushed the button and pushed the button, but the tray won't slide out.

I got one good answer before you let the cat out of the bag. LOL I remember you mentioned problems with your slot drive Plex. I've been lucky so far. I finally got my rebate on it.
