When I downloaded a film called (The dead will tell), I tryed to convert it into a DVD format to burn. It will not allow me nor can I play it in any of my players(Real/WMP/Nero) it says need software upgrade. So I clicked on the movie and i see it's a RAR file? How can I convert it? I'm using WinAVI converter now for all other movies. Thanks Dan
hrtbeat2- I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed ! but if I understand you rightly - What you are dealing with is A zip File - A way of compressing larger files to make them smaller and easier to send and download over the net ! You must first extract or unpack these files before they can be played or transcoded /encoded to a DVD or VCD format Disc ! Keep in mind that Many of the video's Clips atleast available on the internet are of smewhat limited iE: poor quality and even if you burn them to DVD or Video CD the quality may still be poor ! Garbage in Garbage ou as they say. Similar to burning a DVd copy of a old worn out Vhs movie ! Even though the DVD format has the capability to produce extremely high quality recordings if the source is KRONKED then the copy won't make it better ! It can only stop it from continuing to het worse ! I hope I understood you right ? You should look around the internet for a Zip file utility which will let you unzip those files! Hope this helps you som how ! good luxk & happy burning!
