Got my bro's comp and was thinking of switching the Processor so I want an upgraded bios for the comp. The Bios date now is 2000.

Its an Abit BE6-II motherboard, and I see there are many versions of it. I know I have the 440BX chipset if that helps.
    SiSoftware Sandra

    Mainboard
    Manufacturer : <<http:\\www.abit.com.tw>>
    MP Support : No
    Model : I440BX-W977(BE6-II/BF6 v1.1)
    System BIOS : 05/02/2000-I440BX-W977-6A69KA19C-RV
    Chipset : Intel 440BX/DX/ZX

The actual Abit-Usa.com site doesn't seem to be working. Anyone know exactly what version of the Be6-II this could be? Don't get cocky and say the Bf6 v1.1 thing above means the BE6-II is a v1.1 cause the BE6-II and BF6 motherboards are not the same, thus I know that version may not be correct.
Thanks for any and all help.

Yea... a lil while after making this thread I went and tried the abit site again... the US/Canada Site won't load but I then noticed a "Global" site so I went there and got the update.

I know this comp sucks... With VERY limited Processor compatibility and pc133 ram which is rare and way too expensive. Sad thing is, this comp I'm fixing for my bro has much more potential than my current PC till I can afford to get the dream PC I want...

Thanks for dropping some info tho. Really appreciate it.

    No problem.
Best place to look for memory/cpu for an older system is ebay.
