nec firmware

    ok I bought some new 16 speed dvds, but my dvdr is an 8. it wasid on the box that i could update the firmware and it would work. my current version is the nec 2510a v 2.ot i downloaded the 2.06 driver which i believe might be a downgrade. now I'm stuck and don't know what to do. HELP!!!!!!

    Actually the fw for this burner is 2.18. Go to the NEC site and dl the correct version for your drive. Then click on the file and it will flash your drive.

    Unless you have an OEM drive that came with your computer and requires fw from that mfr, such as Dell, etc.

    I DL the file you mentioned but it gives me an error: target nec nd-2510a is not found correctly. nothing is listed in the section to select the drive and it dosen't give me the option to select anything

    should i revert back to the old firmware? its a bin file and has no cue file how can i open it.
