Ok here is my problem i can choose what laptop to get for school next yeat. :( I have it between to computers now at least the Toshiba Qosmio G25 and Dell XPS M170. 2 Top of the line computers.

For the Toshiba: small touch pad and mouse buttons, I can live with that.

bulky and heavy: i dont care about that, i am 14 i can care a laptop ><

no touch pad on/off button: What does that mean, but it doesnt sound serious ><

lesser battery life than other desktop replacements: Lesser battery life isnt bad at all, the only time that will piss me off is when i am flying to the school LOL.

    The Dell:
It's not cheap: I am not too worryied about it, but it is ultimatly my dad who chooses, and price is large for him. Doesnt look as cool as the toshiba, but it looks good anyways.

None of the "bads" really have any affect on me lol. Can you guys help me out alittle? I think right now i am leaning torwards the toshiba, can you guys just share and stories or experiance you might have with either of these computer? The poeple for the cnet reviews seem like jerks lol, and i trust you guys more ^^

    THIS IS TEARING ME APART!!!

Ya i do need a computer to fall back on if my dad doesnt want to put up 2 grand for a laptop. I was planning to use the Toshiba Satellite A105-S4014 - Laptop. But the HP Pavilion dv5040us seems to be a little cheaper.

Plus it's AMD. I've had numerous Pentiums in the past, and I'd rather have the AMD Sempron I have now than the newest P4.

I can't wait until later today... The stuff being shipped in my sig will be here!

I think i am going to push for the toshiba with the HP as a back up. I am sorry but the dell looks like crap lol. Plus the toshiba has that tv tuner, that has to be a nice thing to have. it is also a little cheaper ^^.

How is the TV tuner? I have neaver used one in a computer before ><
Some say it is great others thing it is total sh!t.
