I have been backing up my personal dvds using mainly dvd decrypter, iso files, one to one using DL strictly verbatim; and notice that the I have to double the vol on the tv and can't even hear the sound with the vol maxed on my PC any way to get better sound or am I just stuck. I have also used the pgcedit with VTS, dvd decrypter and nero for mainly sony flicks I can't crack. Any help would be appreciated. Oh by the way I have an NEC 3530A I normally write at 2.4X but am tempted to write faster because the drive supports a faster speed should I just shut up and stick to the 2.4X or maybe try 6X or 4X.
I dont use DL disc but I would assume you are doing it correctly. Ripping the DVD in ISO form using DVD Decrypter and burrning the ISO. I dont know why that would effect the sound volume of the backup. Do you burn the ISO back using DVD Decrypter? Have you tried downloading AnyDVD and run that in the background and do a DVD backup with Nero? You should bebale to do a 1 to 1 copy with it. As long as you have AnyDVD running in the background. As of speed. I burn at 4x myself. Most will burn at least at 4x or faster. Not very many burn at 2.4x anymore. I always stick with 4x less chance of getting a bad DVD or a DVD with alot of DRE on it.
