My Sapphire X850XT came with two programs that I can use to overclock. One is in the ATI Catalyst Control Center, and the other is in this neat little program TRIXX.
Well I clicked the little button in Catalyst that said "Run automated clock configuration utility" Well it went to work. After a few mins, I lost my monitor. I figured, okay, maybe this is part of it. So I left the computer and went and watched TV for a few mins. Came back, still no monitor. I ended up manually restarting my computer, and it said it had "crashed" and it reverted back to factory settings.
So I tried triXX, pretty much the same thing happened except I know that it happened when it was configuring maximun VPU clock settings.
I don't really know what to do. Should I just manually adjust them in Catalyst, or try triXX again?? Anyone else have this problem?

Maybe look at getting a better GPU cooler before overclocking the card.
The faster you clock it, the more heat your going to produce.
You could try this tool, it also has temp monitor for the X850.
