Just installed more RAM - Help me out!

hi,

i have four slots for ram in my pentium 4 pc.
it came with 2 slots being used by 256mb x 2

now i just bought another 2 banks of ram. 512mb x2

so it total i have 1.5gb of ram.

when i click on Task manager it shows:

commit charge: 243/2156 mb

before i installed extra 1gb of ram it was .../1056mb
y is it showing an extra 512mb of ram???

i was just wondering.

No it is virtual memory
