I'm not new at this but lately I've hit a lot of DVD's with "suspect" sectors when I used DVD Decryptor. I used AnyDVD for the 21 free days and didn't have a problem with those save DVD's. Yet I'm reading that lots of you can do it all with Decryptor. I don't know all the terms you guys are using, so I'll just be the dumb broad and ask if I need to worry about those sectors. I hate to waste a disc on burning if I'm going to have problems down the line.
k809, The problems you might have in the future is w/ the dvd's structure as the Studios are trying to throw curves at us. Since DVDD is not being updated I suggest you get VobBlanker to correct those problems as they will come up. You also might get DVDFAB Decrypter to rip to HD as w/ the newer encryptions DVDD can not help you. Also AnyDVD works great. AnyDVD is now using FixVTS to correct the structure problems when you use it to rip to HD. FixVTS does the same as VobBlanker but it is not as Powerful
I downloaded VobBlanker and will give it a try. Thanks bunches. Have guides printed. I know I'll be asking more questions as I'd love to get rid of those copy warnings! Irish
k809 , Most of the time you will know it is a structure problem when you go to back it up and the program can not do it. The use VobBlanker and it will cure it. VobBlanker is really easy to use; make sure though that the files you want Vob'd are on the HD
Gotta laugh here. I'm still trying to figure out which files are which! So far, I've just let Decrypt and Shrink do the work for me. I just uncheck foreign languages and that's it. I have no idea what the rest of the stuff means. I'm really not a dummy, just too brain dead to keep it all in my head. Short term memory is shot and I need a cheat sheet! I think after learning 4 programming languages and ending up not using any that my brain is on strike!
k809 , Hope this helps 1.Make a folder to Desktop and call it Vob'd Movies VobBlanker 2.Input= the files you ripped 3.Output= the folder on the Desktop called Vob'd Movies 4.On the right hand side of VobBlanker click on Process all 5.Then at the bottom click on Process 6 Wait about 5 minutes and it will process all the files to Vob'd Movies 7.Now use Shrink or Recode or whatever burning program to process that folder
well just use anydvd + clonedvd2 . i see it that these are the best when it comes to backing up your dvds and i have not found a dvds that i owen that it cannot back up
