First off OEM stands for [bold]Original Equipment Manufacturer[/bold] which basically means its a new factory made part. Like the CPU you picked is OEM AMD because it comes from AMD, but since its not in a system, its listed as a part, or OEM. As for your computer... Its a VERY simple setup your giving yourself, whith low upgrade ability down the road. I'd suggest a 939 mobo and AMD processor combo. It's well worth that little extra. Possibly the easiest thing you could do is give us a Total your willing to spend and list all the components you want, and what you plan to do with it(possibly list the most intense thing you do as a user-if gaming, what games?] and then tell us what you plan to do in the future with it. That way we can find the best deals and only parts you want, and if you want the ability to upgrade later on, we can find you the best setup for that as well. But a quick response to your parts. -939 mobo and cpu is definately worth the extra price. -HD's are VERY cheap so you should at least invest into an 80GB. -Unless used, floppys are usually there for looks these days. I know its cheap, but if you want to cut corners just don't bother with it, or get a cheap on used for like $2-$3 at a flea market or something. -Ram will really help your system. I'd go minimum of 512mb. -Your Disc Drive has no burning capability... It might be nice to invest into that as well. But then again, it all comes down to what you plan to do with your computer. That info and a price range would be really helpful, otherwise I can only throw out VERY generalized options and personally biased opinions to my own needs.

I'm pretty sure the Case would work. You can email newegg.com with the part #'s of all the components and they'll tell you if you have anything thats conflicting and tell you whats compatible. But so far everything is compatible unless I'm losing my mind Halo System requirements as Follows: Microsoft® Windows® 98SE/Me/XP/2000 PC with 733 MHz (you have 1.4ghz on MOBO/Processor I picked) 128MB of RAM (I chose 512mb for you) 1.2 GB hard disk space (I chose 80GB) 32 MB T&L capable video card required --ALARM!!! Neither you or I chose a video card.-- Now you can go onboard video which is a cheap way of doing it. But the cheapness comes with a price, performance. You should go with an AGP for a cheap setup. If your not looking for awesome graphics and think Halo is the hardest thing you'll ever do, then a VERY cheap AGP is good enough. Not a great brand or anything, just cheap and basic. Obviously adding a lil extra for a better card would help, but I'm trying to stay on your guidelines. But yea, the system we discussed thus far with a cheap vid card will run Halo with easy. The stuff you chose is over double the minimum system requirements. Although be warned, these ARE MINAMAL REQUIREMENTS. This means you MIGHT have to turn some of the detail level down. You shouldn't, but it won't be a big deal. Your system thus far is just on par with their recommended requirements. Sorry to add another $25 at this stage but we both missed the video card. Sorry about that. Is this gonna change anything your looking at? I can help you tweak everything till it suits your preference. Also you should ask other sources about the computer your designing as they might be able to find you a better deal on another site or even multiple sites. Never rush into this, if you do, you'll kick yourself when someone shows you your compoent at a cheaper price somewhere else so be a little patient and get some more feedback b4 you purchase. Edit> you edited again while I was posting. If your sure you want the onboard video then I'll find it for you. But the system I described with a low end, not brand name 128mb AGP card will bump your price from $258.47 to $282.97. But again, cards work much better than onboard but if you don't care then I could likely find you a good enough one. In fact the motherboard you originally chose had onboard video but its rated at 64mb or lower. Which means Halo will most likely be a little laggy. Everyone will tell you a graphics card will outdo an integrated graphics anyday. But if you want, I will look. Just let me know.

For a basic cheap computer thats not too bad. Free shipping and preloaded XP helps you save money. For what you plan to do, thats gonna be plenty and should work fine. Will also save you some time and trouble. So yea, thats a decent deal. Edit> Also the Integrated nVIDIA® GeForce® 6100 graphics is much better than the cheap card I selected. Not to mention this comp lets u upgrade a bit with its PCI-e bus to support the newest and best graphics cards coming out. Just note its $400 plus tax and then u get a mail in $50 rebate. so the comp will total about $410 or so altogether with taxes and after rebate. For that price we could make you a decent computer, but then again, u get the computer put together and tested with XP included at CircuitCity. It all comes down to what you are willing to do. The best deals require some work.
