You can also get a adapter to plug into the ide port to convert the ide into a sata interface. Im using the same one on a amd 800 slot a cause I had was a sata drive laying round. Works good...>! Ebay is the place or Newegg for them!
If you are trying to run the SATA interface, then I'd go with the PCI version, not the IDE to SATA. It will just ruin the point of using SATA.
