hard drives

    I want to install a second hard drive in my pc for video editing. My Dell now has a 80GB EIDE, 7200 RPM, ATA/100 HARD DRIVE, GX270. Can I install a SATA drive? Thanks.

    If you have a spare SATA port on the Mobo then you just plug the sata hdd into there using a standard sata serial cable, you'll also need a 4 pin molex to sata power adaptor if the psu does not have them already connected.
    Chances are there won't be a port on the board, which means you'll need a thrid party sata pci card.
