my usb ports dont seem to be working???!!!

    when i plug my mouse or keyboard im using the usb ports nothing happens. xp doesnt detect any new hardware is installed. the mobo is an abit kw7, its new and i installed all the drivers.

    any exclamation marks in device manager?

    as ddp says
    also check your bios and make sure usb and usb legacy devices is enabled

    theres no exclamation marks in device manager and i cant find anything in the bios for usb devices. i also didnt notice anything in the device manager for usb devices.

    Go over to Newegg.com and buy one of those nifty combo firewire/usb cards for 20 usd and yall set to rid my friend:>

    in the device manager they should be listed as universal serial bus controlers it may be a bad windows install you could try reinstalling windows or your motherboard maybe faulty in which case return it
