    Hi,

I have a Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS sound card and Creative P5800 5.1 speaker setup on my computer and I absolutely love it.

But the downside is the ZS only has a line-in input and nothing else.

I want to make it take in optical input. I have my PS2 hooked up to my monitor and the audio to my ZS sound card. I have been researching for a long time to have my sound card take in optical input from PS2.

I've heard there are extender cards that hookup internally with your soundcard to add extra inputs.
Do you guys know of any? Or does anyone know of other solutions?
Basically, I am looking for ways to hook up a game console to my PC sound card to get 5.1.

    Thanks in advance

    P.S.
I know PS2 only has Dolby Prologic which still is simulated 5.1 but I think the Xbox will sound a lot better when I get one.

Thanks but I am looking for something much simpler than that.

Has anyone heard/known about add-on cards?

The drive bay is basically an add on card. Creative doesnt make any other type of add on cards.
