I have a HP pavilion ZV6131us with a HL-DT-ST DVD-RW GCA-4080n 8X burner. Up untill recently its been burning at 8X speed but now the fastest is 2.4X. I contacted HP and tried everything they said with no change so they said it was the drive and sent me a new one. I put it in today and no change. I am using CloneDVD2/AnyDVD or DVD Shrink/DVD Decrypter. Both programs are doing the same thing. Anyone got any ideas? The only things I have changed are windows updates and AnyDVD/CloneDVD2 updates. Thanks for the help ---copecope---
Thanks for the feedback, I had read your posts in the past and those are the first things I tried. I did think of one more thing. On the AnyDVD settings I have Remove annoying adverts and trailers and jump directly to title menu checked also under drive where it says enable speed control I dont have that checked. Not sure if this has anything to do with burn speed but thought I would ask. ---copecope--
I have the 'Remove annoying adverts and trailers' checked and I DON"T have 'Enable Speed Control' checked ... The 'Enable Speed Control' states "This option enables automatic setting of drive speed by AnyDVD. Do not use speed control together with similar tools, e.g. Nero Drive Speed." I don't think that this is your problem ...
