you can't post your email address here buddy. How did you aquire a box of phones that were reported stolen anyways? (Sounds fishy) Well I think to make them usable again is to just unlock them.

EXCUSE ALL CAPS, GENUINE REASON TO USE THEM.

SO FAR AS I KNOW, ONCE THE IMEI NUMBER HAS BEEN "BLOCKED", WHICH IS ONLY DONE WHEN A CLAIM IS MADE AGAINST AN INSURANCE COMPANY FOR LOST OR STOLEN (SEE, THAT BOX OF PHONES COULD BE FILLED WITH LOST PHONES--WINK WINK!)MOBILE PHONES, OR JUST REPORTED TO THE POLICE AS SUCH,THAT'S IT, THEY CANNOT BE UNBLOCKED AGAIN, THAT'S THE WHOLE POINT.

YEAH, TECHNICALLY THEY COULD BE MADE WORKABLE AGAIN, BUT IT WOULD PROVE UNECONMICAL AND EXPOSE ANYONE THAT WAS A BIT DODGY.

GIVE EM TO YOUR MATES TO PLAY WITH, OR SELL EM TO ONE OF THE MILLION DODGY NIGERIAN BUYERS ON EBAY.

AND LETS ALL TAKE OUR CHILL OUT PILLS GUYS, THE ATTITUDE STUFF GOES NOWHERE. YOU CATCH MORE BEES WITH HONEY THAN VINEGAR.

    CHEERS ALL,

    ok

as you didn't bother to hear me privately, i'll explain publically.

i'm a registered physically disabled person. my cervical spine was broken in a car crash, what seemed like a simple rear'ender.

i have hand and finger co-ordination issues,(and much more, believe me) and severe neurological deficit and intractible chronic nerve pain in my hands and fingers especially. i need to keep any finger stretching to a minimum, otherwise fingers go into extreme spasm and then i can't use my fingers at all for varying periods, which of course means i then can't use most of the internet at all.

i suppose i could use a straw or stick clenched tightly between my teeth and peck away. i have friends who have to do that all the time, it's surprising how inventive one can be when faced with lifes petty conventions.

rehab taught me to type,as a means to communicate, and to use caps lock as you never know if those you type to have vision issues, they called it "overall consideration".

i say i'm a wrinkly newbee, so when i was taught typing there was no real public internet,it was only a means of communication for military, government and acedemics.
there was no need for invented "conventions", or flaming, and certainly no shouting, everyone knew how to behave civiliy to each other, and were far more interested in hearing what others had to say, not in how they typed it.

so, now your question is answered.

me being considerate of everyone, i will obey the rules. i hope all the really important rules are so rigoursly imposed.

BTW, moderators in other forums within afterdawn have expressed no concern over all caps, they were far more intent on being helpful.

    hi ddp,

i'm sorry to hear that, and good for you, i don't let it interfere either, which is why i simply asked to be excused, without giving a reason. however, realistically, everyone has to work within their limits.

for the record, personally, i believe the way you handled the issue was totally wrong, i asked to be excused, which clearly indicated i had a reason and i believe common decency, and simple respect for personal privacy, required that any official enquirey by a moderator should have been made off site. you then ignored my reasonable, and mannerly request to speak privately off site and curtly indicated the rules, which i was well aware of, hence my request to be excused.

i consider the matter closed and will move back to more friendly, and understanding areas of afterdawn.

    hi lickme19,

it was me asked someone else to speak privately, it wasn't directed towards you.

just forget all about it, it didn't involve you, i promise.
