The movies I have on my computer are .avi files, and I convert them to DVD files using Winavi and then burn the DVD using Nero Burning ROM. The DVD plays fine in my computer and all DVD players, but will not play in my Xbox. My Xbox has played every single burnt DVD except the ones I burn. Is there a special/different way to go about burning DVD's that play on both a DVD player and an Xbox?
Xbox DVD drives are picky about what media they will read. Also just because your sisters Xbox will read and play the DVD dosent mean yours will. Could be a diffrent brand of Xbox DVD drive. Of course use good quility media. My Xbox will read both -r and +r it is just the brand that it is picky about. I use TY's and have no trouble at all burning games or movies on them and playing them off my Xbox. So I would sugest trying a diffrent brand of media.
