I need to connect a establish a "voice telephone line" between two server rooms.

The rooms are underground, so I can't use mobiles/Walkie-talkies. There isn't a land line connecting the two. And I can't lay new phone cables.

But there is an IP network....

What I need is the ability to setup some kind of minimal "SKYPE/VOIP/IP voice connection software" between the two sites. These server rooms aren't internet connected, so any products that require Internet servers wouldn't work.

Does anyone know of any programs that I can install on a computer, or a couple of VOIP phones that'll work in a closed environment?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How about a pigeon that can carry messages from one end to another.

How about connecting two match boxes with a thread and talking at each end.

No really on a serious matter,

can't you install an antenna inbetween the room so you can use a walkietalkie?

No, these server rooms are several hundred meters apart (fibre), linked with an IP routed network.

Also, the rooms are 2 floors below ground level with thick concrete walls.

So far I'm inclined to go with the matchbox idea.

    How about a telegraph system?

Can you have some sort of VPN connection?

Does the communication have to be voice or can it be txt ( chatting)?
