cycle redundancy check

    does anyone know what cycle redundancy check means?? i get this only sometimes when i use dvd shrink and the dvd is uncoppyable

    this error can refer to a few things like a scratched or dirty disc, or poor media that you are using to back up your movie to.Its not uncommon for the actual disc to have a damaged vob file inserted to make it harder to copy.You might try using isobuster to see if you can recover the disc to your hard drive and then if you achieve that then burn it back to another disc

    i cant even get the movie to my hard drive..this message is coming up at 1% of shrinking it..

    It appears that you are trying to copy a damaged disc. Try to replace with another....

    thx..the disk wasnt scratched..it was right out of the packaging..dvdfab worked
